The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with Program Directors and Managers to identify, recruit, screen, onboard, and track new volunteers. Where volunteers are vital to the delivery of program operations, the Volunteer Coordinator works in collaboration with Senior Management and Program Managers to develop and implement strategies that support recruitment, training, recognition and retention of program volunteers. In particular, the Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Nutrition Program Director to ensure the promotion of both the Meals on Wheels and Congregate Dining programs which are a large percentage of our volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator seeks to build from the skills and experience of prospective volunteers by aligning talents with agency needs.
