What can you grow from seeds? Why and how?

What can you grow from seeds? Why and how?

On Thursday, February 5 at 7 p.m., Cary Memorial Library is proud to host speaker Christie Higginbottom, expert garden consultant and plant historian as we gear up for the launch of the Lexington Seed Library.

Christie Higginbottom will speak on the importance of saving local heirloom seeds. Higginbottom has worked at Old Sturbridge Village, creating period gardens and preserving heirloom plants, and is a recipient of the Thalassa Cruso Award from the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.

This event will take place in the Large Meeting Room of Cary Memorial Library and is open to all. No registration required.

The Lexington Seed Library is a collaborative effort from Lexington Community Farm, Cary Memorial Library, the Town of Lexington, and the Lexington Field and Garden Club. With generous support from the Cary Memorial Library Foundation and the Lexington Field and Garden Club, we are pleased to bring the first seed library to Lexington.
