On Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 8PM

Join Music Director Jonathan McPhee and the Lexington Symphony for an inspirational journey exploring the important role music plays in setting the scene, engaging the senses, and telling a story via the medium of film.

Presented at Lexington High School Auditorium (251 Waltham Street, Lexington, MA) in true surround-sound fashion, this special concert features numerous Academy Award-winning and nominated film scores, including:
- Jaws,
- Superman
- Close Encounters of the Third Kind
- Schindler’s List
- Doctor Zhivago
- The Pink Panther and
- Pirates of the Carribean.

Special guest composer Brady Hearn — a graduate of Lexington High School who has written music for both film and television — will talk about, and demonstrate, how a film score is created.

Tickets, which are priced at $50/$40/$30 and $15 for students, can be purchased online at www.lexingtonsymphony.org,
by phone at 781-523-9009,
or at the door.

Prior to the 8 p.m. concert, the Symphony is offering a free kids’ concert from 6:00-6:30 p.m. of Prokofiev’s childhood classic Peter and the Wolf arranged for woodwind quintet by Michael Weinstein.
